KAILUA HIGH SCHOOL AT THE KANEOHE CHRISTMAS PARADE 2017
On Friday, December 1, 2017, Kailua High graduates Kayla Clarke (2017) and Savanna Sakuma (2014) presented their papa and wākea student undergraduate research project at Kapi’olani Community College. “The Papa and Wākea is a choir of first year students who are introduced to literary research that merges Mo’olelo and modern science,” Keauhou Mitchell-Aidan. Also, two additional alumni, Andrew Chang (2011) and Sharysse Kanehailua (2014) shared their science literary projects.

KAILUA D2 SOCCER CHAMPS RECOGNIZED FEB. 28, 2018
Kailua High and Kalāheo Digital Media classes combined today to learn more about the work that Hika’alani is doing at Ulupō Heiau and Kawainui in Kūkanonō. The students cleaned, fed, and weeded the lo’ī and they planted and huki the kalo. After lunch, they filmed b-roll and interviews, in order to make videos to tell more people about the good work of Hika’alani. If you’d like to help, Hika’alani has community work days on the second Saturday of every month, from 8:30 to noon.

Kailua High School's Clinical Health class visited KAILUA Intermediate School's Ms. Evans’ class to teach CPR on Thursday and Friday March 1-2. Students showing the Surfrider Way and giving back to the community to help save lives!
Kailua High School students participated in a nationwide memorial and protest in honor of the 17 people who lost their lives in the shooting at Marjory Stonemand Douglas High School in Florida. It began at 10am and lasted for 17 minutes, one minute for each person who died.
