Proper Prevention Measures in School: Aloha Staff & Students!
The Department of Education continues to monitor the Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19), this is a reminder in preventing the transmission of respiratory illnesses. Please follow these CDC guidelines:
>Wash hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing/sneezing, before eating, and after going to the restroom;
>Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth;
>Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash;
>Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe; and
>Stay home when sick.

The Bathroom Project - Spring Break 2020: The SBA will be completing a campus beautification activity during the spring break and is in need of indoor [water-base] house paint. New or recently used, we'll take all the colors and cans of paint, brushes, rollers, pans, etc. Please bring donations to F-20/21 or contact the SBA officers - Elia Kohatsu, Desirae Jeffers, Logan Lyden, Ashlyn Nakashima, or Noah Candelario so they can come to your room and pick it up. Myron B. Thompson Academy ONLINE Summer School: Students who are interested in taking online summer school through Myron B. Thompson Academy, please see Mrs. Pasion in the Counseling Center. Registration started on March 1 and will run till May 15. Online summer school is a great option for students who can self-pace and are highly motivated to earn credit.
Senior Guidelines: Class of 2020: Aloha Seniors Class of 2020,
On February 5, 2020, your PTP Teacher read over the Senior Guidelines during PTP class. If you were absent on that day and did not receive a copy of the Senior Guidelines, you must meet with Vice Principal Mrs. Rezentes. The purpose of the meeting is to ensure you are aware of the expectations for participation in this year's Commencement exercises. You can meet with Mrs. Rezentes before/after school, during recess and or lunch. All students who want to participate in Commencement must agree with, and abide by the Guidelines. KHS Prom Dress Code: Aloha Prom Goers!: This is a reminder that the dress code for this year's prom event on March 20, 2020 will be in full effect. You will not be allowed to enter the prom if you are not in accordance with the dress code. If you have some doubts about your attire, please see Vice Principal Rezentes or Vice-Principal Matsukawa for prior approval of your attire. You can come in before/after school, during recess or lunch. Mahalo.

Seniors attending a UH Community College…: If you're attending any one of the UH community colleges ( especially Honolulu, Kapiolani, Leeward, Windward), you will need to take the Accuplacer test UNLESS you have an ACT English score of 18 and Math 22 OR SAT EBRW score of 480 or Math 510. No appointment is needed, but please call ahead to confirm the dates/times testing centers are open for each campus. Please note that hours of operation may vary due to Spring break
